What about digitals?
Depends on the plan. Some Portrait Sessions include digitals as described on the pricing page. Event and commercial photography (non-product photography) typically include digitals.
If digitals aren't included, pricing varies depending on if it's for personal vs. commercial use, and are available a la carte or as a whole package at a discounted price equivalent to 10 individuals. This way, you only pay for the digital photo(s) you want, rather than having a larger session fee to account for them all.
Cost? Personal use digital images are typically $25ea. Commercial pricing varies. Ask me about that.
Locations – where do you shoot?
All pricing applies to sessions in the San Francisco Bay Area. However, I'm often in the Sacramento & Sierra Nevada Foothills and the Tahoe areas of California. Also occasionally in Seattle, Washington, so if you want to plan a shoot while I'm there, great! I love to shoot abroad too, pretty much anywhere around the globe – ask me about that.
Why should I order prints through my proofing gallery vs another service?
Prints, framed prints, and all products offered are carefully crafted, packaged and shipped by one of the finest labs in the country, with over 75 years in the industry. I've chosen them for their very high quality yet reasonable pricing. Of course, that said, you can use any service you'd like.
And what about framing?
We can ship you ready-framed prints, ready to hang. When selecting a print to buy, you can try out various frames, matting and glass options. Or you can also click "Frame It" from within the cart. Frames are professionally hand assembled, include paper backing, and get delivered directly to your door.
Why order prints at all?
Digital images are great — you can take them with you anywhere. But printed photos do some things digitals just can't. There's something about the printed, physical form of a family photos on a wall or desk that means something more to kids, family, friends who see them every day. My hope is you love your photos, and that you print them and hang them so they're not lost in the binary abyss.
